Michael Toland, Founder

Community focused, and driven for efficiency, Michael is an operations and strategy consultant, with over a decade of corporate experience behind him. A Certified Scrum Master and Agile Certified Practitioner, he approaches his work from a place of collaboration. What does the team want success to look like, and how do we bring that vision to fruition.

Professionally, Michael’s work history spans an array of experience from system auditing, project and product management, requirements tracking, Agile trainer and facilitator, process operations analyst, accountant whisperer, and several other operational roles. Never one to settle into a role, he always looked to expand his experience by taking on new work of which he probably had no right to take on.

Michael obtained his Bachelor of Arts in English from The Ohio State University in 2008. When asked by his grandfather, “what good is an English degree going to do,” Michael would shrug his shoulders and say that he would figure it out as he went, and that’s just what he did.

In his free time, Michael sings with the Columbus Symphony Chorus, serves as the Operations Director for New Leaders Council Columbus, mentors for Venture for America, serves as the Social Media Chair for the Downtown Residents Association of Columbus, is an avid writer, and samples the region’s restaurants for the best nachos.
(Pro-Tip: Old Town Tavern has the best nachos)
